Some myths about breast
Breast is one of the most important body parts of a woman. Yet it is
surprising how little they know about their breast. In this article we will
discuss some common myths and facts behind them, which will give you better
insight about breast.
First of all, it is not true that both breast have same size and shape. More
often than not one maybe larger or smaller, higher or lower, or may have
different shapes. It is very rare that you find a woman with identical
breasts. It is also the case with nipple— they can be flat, round or
cylindrical in shape. Colours of nipple also differ depending on their
thinness and pigmentation.
It is also natural for hair to appear around the nipples as they are
surrounded by hair follicles. If you find it a bother, there is no harm in
cutting it will a scissors, but don’t pluck or shave, as it that could lead
to infection.
For some women, the nipples may be pointed inwards instead of out. This
doesn’t mean anything is wrong. About 10-20% of women have inverted nipples.
Just take care to clean it regularly. But if your nipples suddenly grow
invert from out, then you need to see a doctor.
Lumps on breast give sleepless nights to women. Lumps maybe caused by
changes in breast tissue during development or when your periods arrive. If
they don’t disappear at the end of your period, you better see a doctor.
It is common misconception that breasts are all muscle. Not true. It is made
up of fibrous tissue and fat that enlarges during pregnancy. Reason why
breast look larger with exercise is because of muscles underneath them.
Exercise has no effect in breast tissue. If anything, the breast may become
smaller with exercise, due to fat loss. |
